Brothers in Hollywood

10. Alec and William Baldwin

Thank God for Alec Baldwin because the Baldwins NEVER would have made this list without him. I just put in William Baldwin because we all know Stephen is terrible (except for the Usual Suspects) and Daniel is a train wreck. Alec has been in some good and some bad movies, but who hasn't? I'm not hatin'.

9. Ben and Casey Affleck

My other post said that Casey Affleck is a better actor than Ben Afflect. Is anyone surprised? Ben may always be the bigger star, but Casey is probably a better actor. Ben has had too many flops to be taken seriously anymore. Catch Casey in Gone Baby Gone (Ben directed...possible future for him?) and The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.

8. Matt and Kevin Dillon

Johnny Drama might be more popular now than Matt Dillon. Entourage certainly has helped Kevin Dillon with the younger crowd and has really ignited his career. Matt Dillon is a good actor, my favorite being The Outsiders as well as Kevin, my favorite being Platoon. They really don't look alike and I have to say, Matt got the better genes.

7. Christopher and Jonathan Nolan

These two would definitely be higher on the list if Jonathan Nolan was more well-known. Christoper directs/produces/writes his films while Jonathan mostly just writes. I think Christopher Nolan is the next big director and I think if Jonathan branches out, he could have a big career too.

6. Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez

EMILIO!! Charlie Sheen isn't a good actor, but he certainly is entertaining. I like just listening to him talk about bullshit because that's all he is: bullshit. Emilio, the Might Duck man, isn't really a star now. I haven't seen him in a movie in a while. Is he retired?

5. Ralph and Joesph Fiennes

This is a very talented brother twosome. Ralph is in a lot of great movies (Schindler's List) without many people realizing it. Joseph Fiennes is in some good movies too (Shakespeare in Love). Ralph is in the uber-popular Harry Potter movies (Lord Voldemort) and is definitely the bigger star, but I think they are both good to great actors.

4. Peter and Bobby Farrelly

Who doesn't love Dumb and Dumber? They have made some comedy classics and I like most of their movies for some reason. It's just stupid fun and I like seeing movies like theirs every once in a while.

3. Owen and Luke Wilson

I think these two brothers have had interesting careers. Luke is better looking and more of a leading man type but Owen is the bigger star. Separate vehicles like Wedding Crashers and Old School have made their careers. I liked The Royal Tenenbaums and I think maybe they should do more movies together.

2. Andy and Larry Wachowski

The Wachowski's made their career with The Matrix movies. The first one was awesome, the second two...not so much. V for Vendetta was good and I'm looking forward to Speed Racer. I think these two brothers made a great pairing and I'm sure they'll continue to make interesting films.

1. Joel and Ethan Coen

The best brothers in Hollywood right now. No Country for Old Men, The Big Lebowski, Fargo, all classics. I'm looking forward to Burn After Reading with Brad Pitt and George Clooney. They make films that are both interesting and entertaining, which I think is incredibly rare in Hollywood these days.

Good list.
But, shouldn't the Wachowskis be "Brother and Sister of Hollywood"?
Also, I'd like to add Ridley and Tony Scott to the list.

Yeah Larry is now "Lana." I should have replaced them with Ridley and Tony Scott. Good call.
