Kazan was not blacklisted. He named names for HUAC. That's what On the Waterfront is, a justification for narcing on your friends.

I would have liked to have seen Kurosawa and Howard Hawkes on the list but that's me.

I immediately thought of a couple names after finishing your list (Kurosawa, Bergman, Peckinpah, and Eisenstein to name a few), but the only way I could justify taking anyone you have on the list off would be in the interest of having some diversity in region or time period. I think 10 just might be way too short a list in this case.

I know. Kazan and Brando made two of the greatest films together with A Streetcar Named Desire and On the Waterfront. I'll check out your sites too.
